Debate Spin Room VIDEO: An Angry Wasserman-Schultz Fields Questions On NDAA And Obama’s Kill List

Here is a perfect example of how political elites from the Democratic Party respond when they are subjected to questioning on Obama’s egregious Civil Liberties record.

In the spin room, following the Hofstra University Presidential Debate, Luke Rudkowski from WeAreChange approached Chair of the DNC Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, who was there serving as one of Obama’s Congressional spokespeople.

Rudkowski began by asking her about the President’s record on NDAA:

Rudkowski: How does Obama justify his flip-flop on the National Defense Authorization Act, especially the Indefinite Detention Provision, which he said he never wanted, but he is now — the Administration is appealing the order?

Wasserman-Schultz: I didn’t hear that as a subject of the debate tonight.

No, she is right, the two duopoly parties would never allow such an important question on this Administration’s ‘police state’ policies anywhere near their staged debates.

A while later he asked her about Obama’s Kill List — the program Obama created to assassinate people, including American citizens, based on mere suspicion:

Rudkowski: If President Romney becomes President, he is going to inherit President Barack Obama’s secret Kill List. This is going to be debated. How do you think Romney will handle this Kill List and are you comfortable with him having a Kill List?

Wasserman-Schultz: I have no idea what you are talking about.

Rudkowski: Obama has a secret kill list which he has used to assassinate different people all over the world.

Wasserman-Schultz: I’m happy to answer any serious questions you have. [she glares at him as if he is crazy]

Rudkowski: Why is that not serious?

Wasserman-Schultz: Because I have no idea what you are talking about. [she stomps off]

Rudkowski: Of course you don’t.

I mean, the audacity of that young journalist to ask questions regarding Constitutionally-protected rights of U.S. citizens to this so-very-important political elite! If he attempts to pull off this ‘journalism stunt’ at the next debate, he might find himself handcuffed to a chair for eight hours, alongside Presidential Candidate Jill Stein.

Peter Beinart’s Book Explains Why Democrats Gave ‘Thundering Ovations’ At Bibi’s Speech To U.S. Joint Session Of Congress

by on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at 2:48 pm EDT in Middle East, Politics, World

The New York Times’ Thomas Friedman created a bit of controversy this December when he wrote

I sure hope that Israel’s prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, understands that the standing ovation he got in Congress this year was not for his politics. That ovation was bought and paid for by the Israel lobby.

Well, now some of the logistics of our Representatives’ enraptured response to Bibi’s speech are beginning to surface. The Democratic Party apparently had a conductor to signal these moments: Democratic National Committee head, Debbie Wasserman-Schultz.

From Scott McConnell’s review of Peter Beinart’s new book, The Crisis of Zionism (emphasis is mine):

A year later, when Obama stated that the 1967 borders should be the starting point for renewed two-state negotiations—an American position for more than a generation—Netanyahu delivered what Beinart describes as “one of the most extraordinary humiliations of a president by a foreign leader in American history.” Fresh from speaking at AIPAC’s annual conference, Netanyahu replied that there was no chance of Israel withdrawing to “indefensible lines.”

Then Netanyahu went before a joint session of Congress. Each member of Congress had a single gallery pass to give out, and most gave theirs to their largest AIPAC donor. With the hall packed with supporters, Netanyahu received one thundering ovation after another. Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, who as head of the Democratic National Committee plays a key role in party fundraising, used arm motions to signal to her colleagues when to stand and applaud, and they rose and clapped at Netanyahu’s most controversial statements.

Concluding from this that America was unlikely to help, the Palestinian Authority tried to secure United Nations backing for a state within the 1967 borders. […]

Wonder if the President, whom the Israeli Prime Minister humiliated that afternoon, ever called Wasserman-Schultz to ask her whose side she is on?

Watch: Dylan Ratigan Blasts Debbie Wasserman-Schultz For Spinning Health Care Bill

by on Friday, December 18, 2009 at 5:33 pm EDT in Healthcare, Politics

This is quite entertaining!

Rep. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz (D-FL) goes on MSNBC’s ‘Morning Meeting’ with Dylan Ratigan, and starts reciting all the White House talking points in support of the ‘Liebercare’ health bill in the Senate.  She says she is going to “jump at this chance to pass it” in its current state.

Ratigan then embarks on explaining why this bill is so flawed — that it does NOTHING to break up the Health Insurance Industry oligopoly/monopoly — NOTHING to reign in costs — and MANDATES that the American public has to purchase from them.

They get into a tussle that gets so heated that Ratigan tells her she’s good for nothing, but reciting talking points, and cuts her off:

Heh heh heh.  Fabulous!
